||The rules||



This is the rule page. Those rules are very important to follow,
if you want to be admit in the contest. So, read them carfelly.

I. Inscription rules

1. To be admit to the contest, your fanfic has to be centered on Yu-Gi-Oh! or Beyblade.

2. It doesn't have to be around the main characters. Your story can be center on secondary or original characters, but you have to stay around the serie.

3. The lead judge can choose to accept or reject your fic if, at the moment of the inscription, rule #1 and #2 aren't respected.

4. To apply for the contest, the author has to fill the inscription form. All the area has to be fill. An false email or/and an false URL will automatically reject your inscription.

5. To be fair, the judges will not be able to participate to the contest as participants.

6. All accusation of favoritism toward on or many judges of this contest will be punish by the exclusion of the participant.

7. The deadline to apply is April 25th 2004 at 23:30 (Montreal hour). All application after this date will have to be approuve by the lead judge.

8. An author can only apply 1 fanfic in each serie.

9. There is no obligation to have a website to participate. We can take the fanfic here.

II. Categories

1. The fanfics will be divided into four categories for each: Classic before 18, Classic 18 and after, Modify before 18 and Modify 18 and after. If there is less then 5 fanfics in one category, we will fuse the category together.
1.1 If the mininal number of fanfics is not reached, all the fics of one of the series in one age category. The judgement will be done as usual.

2. All authors that are younger 18 yrs old before Febuary 1th 2004 will be in the before 18 category.

3. The Classic category is all fics centered around the characters of the original series of BeyBlade and Yu-Gi-Oh! that we find in the anime or the manga. If you apply in this category, the judge are going to be very sever about the respect of the characters and the capacity to create an original story and to respect the original stories.

Fictional character (except enemies) can not take over the original serie characters.

Note: A fic that the timeline happens before the actual serie of after will be automatically place in the Modify categorie. The same goes for any story that, in Yu-Gi-Oh!, happens in Ancient Egypt.

4. The Modify category is all fics that are centered around fictional characters (AKA OCs), alternive universes or the timeline is not during the actual serie. The judges will be very severe on the originality of your fic and the respect of the universes of the series.

III. Conditions for the final judgement

1. Your fanfics doesn't have to be complete to be judge, Your fanfics has to have at least 3 chapters. It has to form a short story that includes a small confrontation with the enemy. The judges have to be able to ask the next questions: Who's the enemy? What is the gold of the characters? If the answers is: I don't know, your fic will not be judge, so it will not be class.
2. You can modify, update your fic during the contest. The evaluation will begin on April 30th 2004 and will end on May 31th 2004. You will be able to update you fic during this period of time, but some of the judges might not notice those additions.
